Onboarding questions.

  • 01Do I need a Meta Business Manager already?
    No — Embedded Signup creates one for you if you do not have one. You will need a Facebook account with rights to the business.
  • 02Whose phone number is the WhatsApp account on?
    Your phone number. Popaya is the tech provider; you remain the owner of the WhatsApp Business Account. You can leave any time without losing the number.
  • 03What does WhatsApp cost?
    Pricing follows Meta's conversation-based model and varies by country and category (Authentication / Marketing / Utility / Service). We pass Meta's rates through with no markup. Popaya bills a platform fee on top — see the pricing page.
  • 04How long does onboarding take?
    About 5 minutes if you have your business details ready. The slowest step is usually the Meta phone-number verification.
  • 05Can I switch providers later?
    Yes. WhatsApp Business Accounts are portable. You can migrate to another tech provider from your Meta Business Manager without losing the number or template approvals.
